Waros Art Glass is the perfect choice to bring your dreams and ideas to life.

Rudolph J. Waros is a glass sculptor, carver, etcher, and stained glass artist nationally recognized for his unique designs, exceptional artistry, and the breadth of his expertise.

Specialty GlassBeginning in 1974, he spent many years studying under the tutelage of master craftsmen, glass artists, and tombstone carvers whose skills and knowledge are fast disappearing. Building upon that training, knowledge, and artistry, he has created an art-form far exceeding that which has gone before. Wall murals, bas-relief, free-standing art, the most striking and elegant furniture, screens, and stained glass are but a few of his artistic techniques and offerings.

In addition to his expertise in stained glass, restoration, and decorative carved glass, Rudolph is responsible for the development of Veroglass, the first multi-colored safety glass, in 1993.

A pioneer in sculptural carved glass in the late 1970’s, Rudi set a precedent for figurative carved glass murals and portraits. He was among the first to refine this art form in the Eastern part of the USA.

Rudi possesses a rare ability to breathe life into his carved glass subjects which evokes emotion and leaves an impression with the viewer long after the work has been encountered.

“My sculpture focuses and enhances ones visual senses. By carving glass into various planes, surfaces and depths, I create a message and an ever-changing visual panorama… light penetrating, dissolving and reassembling into varying degrees of radiance, from sparkingrwaros_portrait_small white light – brilliant in it’s intensity, to a soft luminous glow – warming and comforting.” – Rudolph Waros

Rudi’s carved glass works are in many public buildings from murals in hotels, hospitals, and restaurants to cathedrals and corporate entrances throughout the United States. His smaller scale murals and portrait awards are in the private collections of numerous notable figures, from politicians to professional athletes, to the corporate world including First Lady Nancy Reagan, sports figures Jim Leyland, manager of the Florida Marlins, Rocky Blier, Joe Green, Art Rooney, Dan Rooney, Willard F. Rockwell, CEO of Rockwell Industries, and Vincent Sarni, former CEO of PPG Industries.

For public spaces, specially themed subjects, or to suit your personal tastes, a carved glass mural, mirror, or individual carved glass panels created by Rudolph Waros will bring a lasting artistic legacy of beauty and meaning to your project.
