Deep Carved Glass and Bas-Relief
Carving work is wonderful for anything from large scale murals for liturgical, commercial, or residential purposes to freestanding sculptural pieces. This work requires a thicker glass to allow for deeper carving to create sculptural depth for light reflection and shadows. It is most prominently used to depict figurative pieces and scenes, and also for dedication walls.
We design and create based on the theme, location, and requirements presented to us by the client, architect, designer, or committee before installing the final product after project completion.
Carved glass panels are often used in interior spaces and utilize edge lighting to allow for the carving to glow and become a source of sculptural light and beauty within a space.
Etched Glass
Etched glass can easily be used in numerous applications – in any structure and in any environment.
For commercial and corporate purposes, logo display, entry areas, storefronts, privacy panels, walls, and doors are the most common uses. As well as providing privacy, etched glass also adds an element of beauty to a residential environment. Mirrors, windows, and shower doors are just some of the most frequently requested products.
Etching can depict everything from lettering and logos to highly intricate elements of nature, patterns, and abstract designs.
Stained Glass and Stained Glass Restoration
We specialize in restoring and preserving large expanses of historically important stained and leaded glass windows. From one window in a residential home to the total restoration of an entire cathedral, we offer total rebuild and cleaning, including new ventilators, new storm glazing, repainting and re-firing of faded figurative and stencil windows, as well as outlining stencil and portrait windows in clear beveled glass to allow maximum natural light to enter, giving an uplifting feeling for liturgies and prayer.
Glass Awards
Awards are most often created using etching, carving, and custom bottom-lit wood or glass bases and can include intricate carved portraits depicting celebrities or the honored.
Veroglass (Colored Safety Glass)
Veroglass, developed in 1994 by Rudolph Waros, is a safety glass that doesn’t restrict your imagination. Extensively test marketed, Veroglass meetings all standard UV codes, the same strict code requirements which apply to all safety glass, and can be manufactured to bulletproof requirements as well.
With the wide variety of options available, clients are able to choose from translucent and opaque glasses and make customized selections of colors or multiple colors within each sheet of glass. Custom etching is also available.
Because it is safety glass, Veroglass is perfect for a variety of applications including banks and offices where bulletproof requirements exist, commercial entrances and lobby’s, shower enclosures, liturgical structures, and can even be used to mimic or replace marble tile in historic restorations.
